Tang Liangzhi, mayor of Chongqing and Ali, mayor of Chad's capital N 'Djamena sign an agreement on establishing sister-city relations between the two cities at an online signing ceremony on Oct. 12. Li Jinjin, Chinese Ambassador to Chad , Cai Yunge, vice Mayor of Chongqing , Ou Shunqing secretary-general of Chongqing Municipal Government , Juembe, Chadian Ambassador to China and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the ceremony.

  Mayor Tang liangzhi said in his speech that under the direct care and guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the friendly exchanges between Chongqing and N 'Djamena have gone deeper and deeper. Today, the two sides officially signed the Sister City Agreement, opening a new stage of friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two cities. This is a concrete action to implement the consensus reached at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and a practical measure to deepen the friendly relations between China and Chad. Chongqing will take the opportunity of signing the sister-city contract to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with N 'Djamena, and jointly write a new chapter of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation between the two cities, so as to push the friendly relations between the two countries to a new level.

  Mayor Ali said in his speech that the formal establishment of sister city relationship between the two cities is the result of long-term candid cooperation between the two countries. N 'Djamena would like to further strengthen friendly exchanges with Chongqing, push for more fruitful results in practical cooperation in various fields and jointly build an all-dimensional sister city relationship with rich connotations.

  Ambassador Li warmly congratulated the two cities on the official conclusion and said that currently the cooperation between the two countries in various fields under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative is constantly deepening, and the development of bilateral relations is facing new opportunities to improve quality and increase growth. It is hoped that the two cities will continue to tap the potential of cooperation, enrich the connotation of cooperation and inject new vitality into china-Chad friendship. Ambassador Juembe also made warm remarks.
