With support from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Union of African Chambers of Commerce and Industry, China-Africa Chamber of Industry and Commerce was established in 2006 at the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. Its aim is to not only promote the commercial cooperation in trade, investment, technical transfer, service and industry, etc between China and Africa, but also improve economic and trade exchanges between China and Africa. With the approval from CCPIT in 2008, Wuhan Liaison Office of China-Africa Chamber of Industry and Commerce was established, making it the first and only branch office of a local city in China. It provides comprehensive and professional supporting services for enterprises to invest and trade in Africa by establishing a regional non-economic and trade service platform.
