Introduction:

Sanya China-Africa Green Agriculture Development Research Center was established to implement clause 3.1.8 of the Action Plan of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (2019-2021) adopted at the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), which states, "Establish a research center for China-Africa green agricultural development, actively promote cooperation between Chinese and African agricultural enterprises and social organizations, and widely carry out investment promotion, technical exchanges, joint research and technology promotion activities." Commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, CGCOC Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. initiated and carried out the establishment of the Center with 15 relevant industry-university-research institutions in China. The center focuses on serving the Chinese government, African governments, international institutions and private institutions cooperating with Africa. The center is mainly engaged in international poverty reduction and poverty alleviation cooperation, germplasm resource exchange and technology exchange projects between China and Africa, invest and trade cooperation between China and Africa.
