The Ministry of Science and Technology recently supported the people's government of Hubei province in leading the establishment of the China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center. The Ministry of Science and Technology requires the integration of national scientific and technological innovation elements and technological resources to build an efficient and practical platform for technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation with African countries, which marks the official settlement of China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center in Hubei.

  The building of the China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center is an important initiative put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the 2018 FOCAC Beijing Summit. It is an important measure to implement the Belt and Road Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan and the China-Africa Science and Technology Partnership 2.0, and promote science and technology innovation cooperation between China and African countries. It is also an important part of building an even closer China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era. Centering on the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-africa Innovation Cooperation Center will actively build a collaborative network of technology transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship covering China and other African countries by serving China's overall diplomacy and the country's opening-up and innovation strategy.
