Dear friends,
In order to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the youth from China and Africa, strengthen the dialogue between Chinese and African civilizations, and promote the cultural exchanges between Chinese and African youth, China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center plans to carry out an essay collection activity themed “Bonds of Friendship Between China and Africa in My Eyes”. The specific matters are notified as follows:

“Bonds of Friendship Between China and Africa in my eyes” themed essay collection

All Chinese and African youth at home and abroad who are committed to China-Africa friendly cooperation.

Time: July-December, 2022

V. Arrangement
(I) Essay
1. There is no limit to the genre of essay, 1000-2000 words, which can be written in Chinese, English or French. It is recommended to write in Chinese. The font format is recommended to use Song typeface, size 14, 1.5 times line spacing.
2. The essay should focus on the theme of “Bonds of Friendship Between China and Africa in My Eyes”, and the content should be positive, which can involve various fields of social life, and show economic development, scientific and technological achievements, natural scenery, urban construction, people-to-people exchanges, etc. between China and Africa.
3. The essay should be original and based on real life and personal feelings. The essay has not been published in other books, newspapers, periodicals, websites, new media platforms, or contributed to other similar activities. The submission of the essay means that the author agrees the work to be published and used by the host. The submitted essay will not be returned, and the author needs to keep the final draft copy. The submitted essay should be personal works, and cooperative works are not included in the collection.
(II) Schedule
1. Submission. Participants from China and Africa send the essay and registration form (both in WORD format) to the designated email address (the email’s theme: name of the author + name of the essay). The deadline for submission is October 30.
2. Selection. The host will select excellent works with good topics, content and quality from all the submitted essay.
3. Publication. The host will publish the “Bonds of Friendship Between China and Africa in My Eyes” essay collection, which will include the excellent works in the process of submission.
(III) Supporting policy
1. No registration fee will be charged for the essay collection.
2. For the essays that have been successfully collected, the host will give two copies of the collection to the authors.
3. China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Center will invite the authors of collected works to participate in the follow-up activities related to the exchanges between Chinese and African youth.
